The trepidations millionaire Richard Lang (Phillips Smalley) has about his wife (Lillian West) hosting a séance in their home turn out to be well-founded when, during the mysterious ceremony, the business tycoon is murdered. In the midst of his investigation, Det. Capt. Herbert Devlin (Jack Mulhall) discovers that everyone present at the bizarre ritual has a good motive for offing the reviled Lang.
