Three kung fu experts (Fu Sheng, Chi Kuan Chun and Leung Kar Yan) finish their training and start travelling to see where best their skills could be used. With rampant unprovoked violence from the 8 allied foreign armies, the three soon come to prominence for stopping some "foreign devils". The I-Ho-Chuan (or "the Boxers" to the westerners), being led by an unscrupulous fake spiritual boxer (Wang Lung Wei), whose trying (and succeeding) in making his recruits believe they are invunerable to gunfire, also become aware of these three unsung heroes. Managing to recruit them, the boxers stoke the fires of rebellion, leading to the 55 day siege of Legation street in Peking....and the ensuing extinction of all boxers.
