NOT A SLAVE is based on a true story of how a 20th-century African Prince resorts to slavery in order to cultivate his plantation for profit. The slaves suffer cruel handling by the overseer’s hand, whose own destiny rests on the survival of his Prince’s long-awaited newborn heir. Even in this contemporary world, modernized slavery is still the order of the day. People voluntarily work for pay but end up receiving hatred, humiliation, denial, and hardship. However, time has got its ways of healing all wounds.
