It's about, Spongebob Squarepants, (Tom Kenny) attempting to retrieve the famous "Krabby Patty" recipe when it mysteriously vanishes from the "Krusty Krab" restaurant where he works. With the "Krabby Patties" gone, Bikini Bottom descends into the apocalypse, complete with leather, and everyone believes Spongebob stole the recipe. Aided by his seriously dimwitted partner, Patrick Starfish (Bill Fagerbakke), Squidward Tentacles (Roger Bumpass), and the money-lovin, Mr. Krabs (Clancy Brown), they attempt to get the "Formuler" back from, Burger Beard (Antanio Banderas), a pirate who has set up shop on the land with a pirate ship-style restaurant.
