Little House on the Prairie: With Doc Baker's work load becoming too excessive for one man, arrangements are made for Dr. Caleb Ledoux and his wife Mattie to settle in Walnut Grove, but while Harriet Oleson is expecting a high-profile French couple from New Orleans, she (and the entire town, for that matter) are shocked to discover that they are African American. As Doc Baker keeps all the "important" work away from Caleb and doesn't allow him to upgrade from treating the farm animals, Doc Baker denies allegations that he is being racist, but it is clear that there's something very wrong between him and his new partner. Caleb and Mattie must cope with the fact that the Ingalls family are pretty much their only allies, but just as the demeaning treatment is beginning to take its final toll, the unthinkable forces everyone in a difficult position.
