A white Toyota Corolla with blood smeared on its bumper was found abandoned behind Orangeville Town Hall on Aug. 30, 2010. The vehicle ownership would lead police to Sonia's townhome on Spring Street. Other than blood inside, Sonia was nowhere to be found, and there was no sign of forced entry. Police believe her killer would have left the scene covered in blood.
